This is showing that the outtie is unencumbered by the innie, but the innie has to deal with the outtie baggage.

The innie is holding a whole bunch of floating outtie skin balloons. In the second scene, the outtie Mark acknowledges it in the trash, but only the innie Mark ever touches or interacts with it.Īfter the outtie Mark garbage scene, we have innie and outtie passing eachother in the parking lot. So in the title sequence, the goo is being wrestled with only by the innie Mark. Up until I was talking about this episode with another reddior and how no sleeping is a rule, I didn't even connect the whole sleep thing lol. Which is alluding to sleep playing a big role in the show. Obviously the sequence starts out with outtie Mark in a bed. The innie Mark also has on his blue Lumon badge to further prove that aspect. And one has on red pajamas, which is the innie Mark. One is in a suit, which is the outtie Mark. In the title sequence, there are two Mark's. Let me know what you guys think! It doesn't seem that anyone has done this, so I wanted to take a deep dive into the title sequence and connect it with some of the other theories floating around in the other threads.
So I was reading theories, and I had made some comments and thought of some new discoveries. I think my take away is pretty good, so if you don't want to read the whole thing, you can skip and go read just my conclusion! I have no one else watching this show with me, so after this last episode where I was left dumbfounded, I went to reddit cause I knew you guys would be talking about it lol.
